Initial Impressions
Just received this a week ago, delivered in good time after ordering (which is pretty rare in these times). Overall, I'd have to say the design and finish is well-matched with the price. Prior to ordering this, I'd recently tried on some higher end ($600) leather jackets. Notably, they didn't come with the built-in venting, shoulder gusset (for reaching forwards), and in one case, no quilted liner, or back protector. The dearer ones did have a more expensive looking finish to the leather and stitching, however appeared to use similar thickness leather. I'm usually normally an XL in standard clothing jackets, but upsized to allow for the armour, which gave me a perfect fit. The sleeves are nice and long, and the overall feel of the jacket is comfortable, both on and off the bike, and sits nicely when off the bike as well. The only drawbacks were a stitching flaw in the collar (2-3cm long) allowing separation of the leather layers (I can live with this). The other, as mentioned in other reviews, is that the forearms aren't really tapered to the wrist, leaving a large wrist opening for cold air (or bugs) to run up(about 3-4cm excess circumference). Gloves with a decent gauntlet may solve this, however it does make things pretty bulky around the wrist by the time you fold it all in. I'm seriously thinking of finding a leather worker to try and narrow things down a bit, or at least add another fastener further around the cuff. I bought this to go with a bike that I'm still waiting on delivery for, so not tested on-road as yet. I'll update once I do.

Torque motorcycle leather jacket
Hi, I received my 4XL motor cycle jacket and was extremely pleased with the fit and quality. Leather is of good thickness and I wore it on the bike yesterday, for the first time so much warmer than the synthetic type jacket. Was very comfortable. Staff were very pleasant to deal with and the speed that they dispatched it was amazing, paid for the jacket late Thursday and had it the following Monday.

Torque Leather Motorcyle Jacket
Many write a review as soon as they receive their item and talk about delivery times and service, or even after a few weeks of using it, but that doesn't really inform those still sitting on the fence and weighing up whether to spend their hard earned on something they really know nothing about. That's why I thought I'd write this review as a long term wearer of this jacket! Straight off, I’d just like to say that Rhino Leather as a company is great, their staff are fantastic and friendly, their service is impeccable and I am in no way affiliated to them. Now that’s out of the way…. I bought this jacket eight years ago and I still wear it every time I ride, which in real terms is about 8 months out of the year, and mainly when it’s not raining. Like everyone has testified, the presales service was fantastic, and after deciding to it buy for what appears to be a ridiculously cheap price compared to what its selling for now, it arrived in a couple of days. My first observations don’t matter so much now as I’ve been using it so long, so I’ll get into how it came together for me. As soon as I tried to take my wallet out of the inner chest pocket, the leather tab with the snap broke off. I’ve never used this pocket again. I was worried about the quality and whether this jacket would last! It didn’t take long to wear it in and is super comfy all day long. I haven’t come off while wearing it (knock wood), and let’s face it, the only reason most of us buy a leather bike jacket is because of the very real possibility we may come off, but the leather is top grade and none of the stitching on the panels has ever let go in 8 years. The back, shoulder and elbow pads have retained their shape and density after all this time so no probs there. It mainly sees sun, especially in summer, and is looking a little faded now which treating it doesn’t seem to help, but at the same time, looking slightly worn is the only thing that makes me look cool. Where I work gets very hot in summer and I have worn this in 40 deg temps. I haven’t cooked yet – as long as you’re moving, the vents keep you cool. That’s one thing I was surprised about – they actually work a treat! Now the cons. 12 months of wearing it after I bought it, and the zip on one sleave broke and the stitching on the main zip came apart at the bottom. There’s not too many out there that like sewing into leather, but I managed to have them repaired – pricey at the time at $65. The mesh liner inside the jacket is great, but not so much as a pocket liner. It catches keys, and as I found out, tears easily. No keys in these pockets! The removable winter jacket liner is a little ho hum. Not very thick or warm, but is easily removed and installed. The big problem for me is that it doesn’t have sleeves like some others I’ve worn and that’s pretty much where I get cold first. Even after treating the leather, it takes in rain – a lot! Shoulders, back, the crooks of your arms….In city riding, doesn’t seem to be a catastrophic problem, but I’m sitting on highway speeds most of the time and it gets more than a little damp. …and for the second time, I had to replace the zip on the other sleeve this year, but that’s 8 years on….. Having said all that, I LOVE this jacket and its more of an old friend to me now. Replacing it has never crossed my mind – even though the waistband is starting to get a little tight! The quality has stood the test of time, and the quirks I can put up with – nothing is perfect, yet this is pretty close. I will never get another cordura jacket after experiencing a low speed shunt that had me tumble only a few metres, yet it was shredded, and that’s why I recommend leather, and especially, why I recommend this jacket! So Fence-Sitters, no need for splinters in your butt! The Torque leather jacket is the jacket to buy!

Exactly what I wanted
this jacket is exactly what I was after -once worn in it is immensely comfortable and suits all but the really hot days - and even then the vents keep you cool when moving. Great fit and the express postage was really that - had it in no time at all. Thanks Rhino Leather, happy customer who is coming back for more

Quality garment, perfect fit
I'm very happy with this jacket, its very well made and the strong leather used made it fit for purpose, thank you

Good quality
This jacket seems to be made of good quality leather, which is important in a bike jacket. The elbows are a bit tight but hopefully will soften up. The vents are a great addition coming into summer.

Good value jacket!
I received the jacket within 6 days of ordering which is pretty good! I was a bit worried about the jacket being made from split leather as all sites had told me to go with top grain, however the jacket is really thick and will definitely hold up in a slide. The leather is really stiff and I found the collar part can be a little sharp, however I'm sure that will all go with some use/conditioner. I plan to upgrade the armour in the near future as it doesn't feel like the best quality, however the jacket as a whole is really good and I have recommenced Rhino Leather to my riding buddies. They also threw in a pen!!!!!!
